1 Chronicles 29:8 And whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord, in the care of Jehiel the Gershonite.9 Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

What if we were giving everything. Would we be ready to go sooner? Would you love us more? Why am I always and forever playing catch up?What would have been?

You God are totally in control, nothing happens that You don't already know about. I have no reason to be discouraged. Thank you!

    Psalm 68:35 A terrible beauty, O God,
    streams from your sanctuary.
It’s Israel’s strong God! He gives
power and might to his people!
    O you, his people—bless God!
    A David psalm

O you people Bless God. A calling from an annointed King who knew the heart of God. God I am sorry, ashamed that I have not done that. Not made you the King and center of my life. I come before you and pray for friends, family and strangers, knowing that you hear and answer me and yet I am rebelious in my heart to put You first. PLease forgive me, convict me when I turn from you. Send your Spirit in a powerful way to guide me. I desire to follow and serve you but I am weak. I need you to help me. You alone deserve my praise. You are the Creator and Savior of my world, my life. Today speak to me as I seek you, as I am quite and humble before You. Please reward my earnest attempts to know You more. I love you Father God, King of Glory!

    Psalm 106:

44 Still, when God saw the trouble they were in

and heard their cries for help,

45 He remembered his Covenant with them,
and, immense with love, took them by the hand.

46 He poured out his mercy on them
while their captors looked on, amazed.

47 Save us, God, our God!
Gather us back out of exile
So we can give thanks to your holy name
and join in the glory when you are praised!

48 Blessed be God, Israel’s God!
    Bless now, bless always!
    Oh! Let everyone say Amen!
    Hallelujah!

    Hebrews 10

1 For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near.2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sins?3 But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

    5
Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said,
Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body have you prepared for me;6 in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure.7 Then I said, Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.

    8
When he said above, You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings (these are offered according to the law),
9 then he added, Behold, I have come to do your will. He does away with the first in order to establish the second.10 And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

    11
And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,13 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet.14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

    15
And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,

    16
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,

    17
    then he adds
, I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.

    18
Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

I am struck by several things. The old offerings of goats and bulls could never be enough. The sacrifice God wanted was obedience to His will (vs 7). Christs sacrifice was ONE sacrifice, ONCE and for ALL. What amazing news!

I am left with the obedience to His will. I fail at this miserably. Pride stands in my way, runs over my desire to follow Him like a freight train. But I know that God is willing and able to help me if I just ask. So i'm asking today. God please forgive my sins, help me to have the strength and knowlege to follow Your perfect will.

    Tuesday December 21

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Isaiah 40:30-31 Even youths shall faint and young men shall fall exhausted but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

God is good always. His planning and timing are perfect. I am convicted this morning of my need to plan, fix and do things without waiting on Him. I need Him, not the other way around.

Father please forgive my pride that robs me of the joy of waiting on You. Thank you for Your mercy that allows me to come back to you. I praise you because You alone are worthy of my worship.

"God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply".- Hudson Taylor

Today we see the first of our Belgium Family off at the airport. So excited to see someone go. Pained at the thought of missing them and hoping for the day to come soon that we are all together there. It's going to happen. When God called He already knew how that was going to happen. I need to trust in His plan today. It's all about Him and when I see it that way I can stop worrying about how it will happen, when it will happen and just know it will. What a beautiful thing to serve the almighty King with a trusting heart.

Praying for safe travels today for the Goens. An apartment to move into by Christmas and an outreach that will bring glory to God and fame to Jesus His Son.
    Amen!
